So let's be honest, I was spoiled about like the biggest event in this book. I came into this whole series knowing what was going to happen. It didn't make it any easier. Let me tell you, this book messed with me. Even though I didn't sob uncontrollably, I did tear up. Which is a first for me. At some points I wasn't sure if I liked the setting of this book or not since it's in a different place than the rest of the books and completely new. In the end, I feel like it was necessary for them to be there after how the last book ended. But still. One of the major events I kinda found unnecessary as well though. And this book definitely did not have as much action as the other two books. Plus Tris and Four fought a lot and then made up and it just felt odd to me. I don't know. And Four's character seemed off compared to the other books too. I don't know. This book had a lot of iffy parts for me. However, I really enjoyed the very last scene in the book and feel like another big scene made up for a lot of the iffs. If you have read the other books in the series, then I'd say to definitely read this one too. Make your own opinions. I would like to hear what you all think about this! Rating: 4.5/5 |
