I've heard great things about this book and was honestly expecting a lot. However, this expectations were not quite met. I really wanted to like this book, but it was just too predictable for me to be fully invested its awesomeness. Within the first ten pages I knew the plot of the book and how events would turn out. It's not that I didn't enjoy this book at all, it's just that I already knew what would happen: thus, making it feel less adventurous. Now, despite the whole predictability thing, it was a pretty good book and very enjoyable. If you consider yourself a bookworm, then this is one of the essentials of modern literature (aka one of those books that everyone has read and it basically a modern literary classic). Anyways, people who like cyborgs and space and all that cool jazz should totally read this book. I know I'll be reading the rest of the series. Rating: 3/5 |
