Description: Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined is an additional, non-canon reimagining of Twilight. The book was written and published by Stephenie Meyer in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Twilight franchise. The story is set in an independent, parallel universe in which the most significant difference is that the genders, names and roles of the main characters have been reversed, with only a few exceptions. The story follows essentially the same plotline as Twilight, but with necessary adjustments and slight changes to the story, dialogue, backgrounds, and personalities of the characters to accommodate the switched gender roles. Review: Where do I even begin? We are all aware that Twilight isn't exactly an intellectually stimulating book, but that's okay because the story is amazing. Twilight lovers aren't too invested in the lack of extensive vocabulary, but rather the relationship between Edward and Bella. Life and Death holds true to this. There are obvious changes in this reimagined version, but there is nothing that takes away rather than stays the same of makes better. Reading this was almost like reading Twilight again for the first time and I loved every second of it. If you didn't like the original version of the story then I wouldn't recommend reading this book, mainly because it would more than likely frustrate you since it maintains a similar fashion to Twilight. I can not express the high I have been feeling since reading this book in words, so all I can tell you is to PLEASE READ THIS so I can have other people to fangirl with! My favourite part of this book was definitely the ending, but I'm not going to spoil it for you so I guess you'll just have to read it and find out! Enjoy (: Rating: 4.5/5 |
